Coombe Yarra Valley is a premium 60-hectare vineyard, centrally located in the Yarra Valley near Coldstream. Since our first plantings in 1998, our small team has worked together with a strong focus on excellence in fruit quality for both our own wine brand and the wider industry.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Vineyard operator who is looking to assist leading the vineyard team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled individual with approximately 5 years’ experience, ideally with the ability to operate a wide range of vineyard equipment on hills and slopes.
Key vineyard operations include:
Machine harvesting
Fungicide spraying
Slashing and mulching
Pruning
Netting operations
The successful applicant will be able to:
Operate independently
Demonstrate skills in the correct use of Vineyard plant and equipment
Communicate effectively with the Vineyard Manager
Supervise groups of labourers
Demonstrate strong practical skills with a high attention to detail
Additional desirable skills include welding, diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge.
Requirements:
Current and valid driver’s licence
Solid understanding and commitment to OH&S standards and practices
Forklift licence
